Our prepaid plans are transferable and will be honored by any of the qualifying Dignity Memorial providers in North America. Delays in the cremation process which I believe were outside their control; however, they did not keep the family updated through the process. We had to keep calling and tracking down an update which was upsetting during an already emotional time. We decided to make our memorial service arrangements with an event center and had a beautiful, stress free service. This is the cost to purchase a burial vault from the funeral home. A burial vault is required for most cemeteries, but you may choose to purchase one online or elsewhere, if you'd wish.

The brick pavilion is an option for small outdoor services, and burial choices range from traditional ground burial with flat or upright monuments to above-ground entombment in our mausoleums. All in all, the cemetery is a peaceful place to visit and reflect. While attending Brazosport College she assumed a broader, more active role with Freeport-Lakewood and realized that working in her family's business was her true calling. She attended and graduated from Commonwealth Funeral Institute in Houston, graduating as an outstanding student.

In the early 2000s, the cemetery owners realized that the community had a need for a funeral home capable of providing a high standard of service. As a result, they opened Restwood Funeral Home in 2009.
This beautiful artwork was removed from the former funeral home location, repaired and placed in this chapel. Other smaller stained-glass windows from the former building were reused here as well. In 2007, after seeing a growing trend in the number of requests for cremation the Turner family proudly opened Riverside Cremations located on the grounds of their Freeport facility. The Dry Bayou/Millers Chapel Cemetery is located east ... The cemetery has about 20 legible names on tombstones though there are other broken stones and funeral home markers which are not legible.
